To be allowed to designate fields of practice, a lawyer must have devoted the greater of 100 hours or 10% of the lawyer's time spent in the actual practice of law to each indicated field of practice for the preceeding calendar year. In addition, the lawyer must have completed at least ten hours of accredited continuing legal education couses of study in each indicated field of practice during the preceeding calendar year.
